Who is Nezihi Ozduzen?

Why create a web site??????

The end of 1999 we lost our best friend and father Mehmet Ozduzen in a tragic accident. I have not met anybody who loves their hometown more than my father did. Therefore I decided to create a web site to honor my father and celebrate the life that he devoted to Adiyaman. You will find a lot of information in this site, which I will try to keep fresh and informative. My first aim is to introduce Adiyaman to the people around the world and to inform them about Adiyaman and its environment, home (according to UNESCO), to the eight wonder of the world, Mt. Nemrut.

Mehmet Ozduzen

A short biography:

I was born in Adiyaman, Turkey. As I mentioned, my father’s name is Mehmet Ozduzen and mother's name is Ayse Ozduzen. I have a brother, Nejdet and two sisters, Nezahat and Sebahat. We lost another brother, our oldest, in 1985. My oldest sister lives in Ankara Turkey and my older brother lives in Canakkale. My younger sister and I live in Minnesota US. I finished high school in Adiyaman after which I got a degree in physical education from Gazi University in Ankara in 1982. I worked as a teacher for 10 years in more than 10 different places in Turkey. I quit teaching and moved to US in 1995. After I came to US, I decided to get another degree. After contemplating my prospects for a while, I decided to get a degree in computer Science. I will graduate at the end of 2001. I then hope to find a nice and challenging job in that field.

Who are Nezahat and Hicri Koroglu?

Nezahat Koroglu is my sister and Hicri is her husband. I have to mention one more person here, my niece and their daughter Sera Koroglu. Nezahat and Hicri put a lot of effort into this web site. Hicri does most of the translations. Nezahat typed most of the material and she organized the site. I want to thank them with all my heart, especially to Sera, who patiently occupied herself while her parents were busy with this site’s preparation.

I will keep informing you about all changes in this site and also I will try to make a mailing list (soon), which I hope, brings us closer. I am really exited and waiting for your comments and suggestions about the site.
