Altinkum means "Golden Sand" and with its three main beaches which gently shelve into the Aegean Sea,
you will soon realize how the resort got its name.
The Beach life is excellent with various watersports available. Altinkum is located about 1 hour from Kusadasi,
1.5 hours from Bodrum and 1.5 hours from Izmir. A few minutes outside Altinkum is Didim (Didyma)
where the ruins of the famous Apollo Temple can be found.

The temple’s porch originally held 120 columns and Apollo’s twin sister, Artemis, also had 120 columns
in her temple located near Ephesus.
Ancient Didyma was not a town, but the home of a god and his priest.
In the temple grounds are fragments of its rich decoration including a striking head of Medusa.
Dolphin Square is the main centre in Altinkum.
You will find many restaurants, bars, and shops; there are a variety of restaurants, catering for a variety of tastes.
The Medusa Nightclub is an open air club in Altinkum which has a laser show and the latest up-to-date music.
The Medusa Nightclub can be found along Yali Street, just past the Summer Garden Restaurant.
Just walk along the main promenade walking away from the harbour and follow the road upwards
and you cannot miss it.
