I'm interested in general guidance on photography do's and don'ts for a first time traveler to Turkey. Plan to spend 4 weeks

Although I've picked up bits and pieces about protocol I'd really appreciate any guidance specific to the country to avoid potential problems while photographing.

My initial plan is to bring two SLR bodies, three lenses, lap top pc and perhaps a tripod.

Thoughts?

Thanks, Jack

Hi,
Welcome on board.... :)

Here some random thoughts...

1. Stay away from Military Units, Places
2. Women; you have to be very careful (I cannot say you need permission but also sometimes asking permission itself is a problem in some area)
3. Be careful when you take a shot on Police forces.

Those are the only three things came to my mind...

If I find more, I will add here... Also ask question may be that way I can give you more information....

:)
