Elmadağ Ski Resort

The Elmadag Ski Resort is located inside the Ankara City borders, at the northern slopes of Elmadağ. It's advantage is the proximity to the city center.

Arrival The facility is at 18 km. distance to Ankara. The arrival to the ski resort from the city center is carried by university vehicles and private vehicles.

Geography The Ski Resort is located at the northern slope of Elmadağ between the altitudes of 1500-1850 m. The tracks are treeless and covered with alpine meadows.

At the center the terrestrial climate is encountered and the ski season is between January and March. The snow thickness is between 30 - 60 cm.  

Accommodation and other services There are ski houses belonging to METU - Hacettepe - Ankara Universities and Youth and Sport General Directorate and Turban Hotel belonging to the Ministry of Tourism and two restaurants belonging to the individuals are present. There are closed swimming pool, sauna, discotheque and restaurants at the facilities. The T bar facility belonging to the Air Force, snow vehicle and cafeteria is at the service.

Mechanical Facilities and Running tracks There is a T bar which is 548 meters long and having the capacity of 720 person / hour is present. The track is at the difficulty levels of easy and medium.
